Sunday Morning Adult Education

Epiphany Adult Education: Surprised By Joy
We will spend the weeks of Epiphany (Jan/Feb) reading the autobiographical story of C.J Lewis and his journey to faith in Christ. Lewis begins with his childhood in Belfast, surveys his boarding school years and his youthful atheism in England, reflects on his experience in World War I, and ends at Oxford, where he became “the most dejected and reluctant convert in all England.” As he recounts his lifelong search for joy, Lewis demonstrates its role in guiding him to find God.
Books can be picked up in the church office after the New Year, we are asking for a $5 to help cover the cost of the books. Jan 7th: Preface, chapters 1-3 (50 pages), Jan 14th: chapters 4-6 (55 pages)

Jan 21nd: chapters 7-9 (58 pages), Jan 28th: NO Adult Education. due to Annual Meeting

Lent Adult Education: And Who is My Neighbor?
Lutheran Social Services has published in-depth and relevant bible studies for the church today.  Each study is filled with writings and reflections from some of the brightest theologians of our time.  Join us for the 5-week study “And who is my neighbor: Talking about race and racial equality”.  During the season of Lent scripture leads us to places of introspection, discipleship, and prayer, this study will enhance all these spiritual disciplines as we consider how our identity as people of God responds to the tensions of our world.  Copies of this study will be available for pick up in the church office.
