Memorial Lutheran is currently in the call process for a new pastor.
The Call Committee was elected at the annual meeting on January 29th. Committee members are Lisa Boe, George Clements, Neil Clymer, Cathy Gjermo, David Josephson (alternate), Beth Paterson, Tim Obr, Elise Winter (alternate).
Tuesday, February 14th, 7:00 pm, there will be a congregation town meeting to review Memorial's Ministry Site Profile. Bishop Peter Rogness and Susan Miller, Assistant to the Bishop, will discuss the profile with congregation members for clarification and final edition. The profile will guide candidate selection and interviews. This event is intended for all Memorial members.
Candidates for pastor are identified three ways. Pastors who have submitted their paperwork to the synod office will be matched with Memorial's Ministry Site Profile. Memorial members may pass on possible candidates to our Church Council or pastor who will then inform Bishop Rogness or Susan Miller. And, Memorial's Call Committee might choose to post an advertisement for the pastor position.
The Call Committee's early tasks will be to form as a cohesive interviewing team, plan their interviewing process, formulate an interviewing strategy, and review pastor profiles.
