If you would like to come, but have childcare needs, please contact Nick and we will look into arranging childcare during this time.
Will we again participate in the ELCA day at Valleyfair, June 12. Please sign up by May 21. You may sign up after that date, but the cost raises to $30 for ticket and transportation. All ages are encouraged to participate. Sign up here.

ONGOING/PERIODIC EVENTS AND OPPORTUNITIES
Mentors and Prayer Partners
Every Lent our confirmation youth spend time on Wednesday evenings with mentors.
Prayer partners began for our kids through 6th grade in March 2017. Partners come together once a month to pray with/for the kids. We are always seeking more adult prayer partners.
Family Place MN
The Family Place provides day and night shelter opportunities for families without a permanent home.
Our volunteers will prepare and serve meals, joining with the residents at the table.
People Serving People
Feed My Starving Children provides food around the world, including right here in the US, for children facing severe hunger. We have the opportunity to partner with them throughout the year and serve by packing meals, as well as with financial gifts.
Lutheran World Relief school kits
These kits are an ongoing ministry opportunity at Memorial. We rely on continued donations of funds and supplies to complete these kits. For 2013-15, this is where our children’s offering has been directed. These kits help with the education of children around the world. For a list of items to donate, click HERE.
The Sandwich Project Minnesota
We help by preparing sandwiches to be distributed.
VBS for 2017 is June 26-30 as we learn about Faith Alive!
We use the Whirl Curriculum and follow the liturgical cycle, allowing kids and families to connect what’s discussed in Sunday School to what parents experience in worship.
Confirmation classes generally last 2 years at Memorial (typically, 7th and 8th grade), though older participants are welcome and encouraged. We utilize the Collaborate Curriculum as a way to engage youth in discussion while exploring faith, all in a Lutheran context.
