We are called to stand out, to be different. We are not called to do this just because it’s fun, but because when we follow God, we are different. We must stand out and be ourselves to discover what God has in store for us. Today we’re going to demonstrate ‘standing out’ using just three ingredients: oil, water and food coloring.
Fill a bowl with oil, use a shallow bowl if you are low on oil. Mix a small amount of water with a drop of food coloring–for the most fun make multiple colored waters. Using a pipette (if you have one) or a straw, add a drop of the colored water into the oil. Continue to do this and notice how the drops stand out and spread, but are not overtaken by the oil.
Dear God, You call us to stand out in a world telling us to blend in. Help us to follow your path for us, and show brightly while doing it. Amen
