Here you fill find a prayer you can use at home, as well an activity and/or resource that you can utilize with your child(ren) should you choose.
We’ll start out with a pretty basic activity. Paper airplanes!
What better time to talk about letting go than as we all experience the anxiety, frustration, uncertainty, and host of other emotions that come with all of the Covid-19 life adjustments we are in the midst of.
All you will need is some paper and markers (you can of course decorate your paper airplanes as much or little as you please).
Here are many basic paper airplane instructions: FoldandFly.
Prior to making your paper airplanes, you/your child(ren) are encouraged to write this, or another prayer on the paper:
God, we love you and we want to come closer to you. Help us to let go of the things that keep us from focusing our hearts more fully on you. Amen
Complete your airplanes, and now it’s time to see whose goes furthest. If you only made one plane, try seeing how far you can get over a number of tries, or with different people throwing it.
Then, for a family prayer you can choose the prayer written on the plane that went the furthest, the prayer written above, or prayers on all of the airplanes you made together.
