This Sunday’s Gospel
John 3:14-21
14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life. 16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life. 17 “Indeed, God did not send the Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. 18 Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. 20 For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed. 21 But those who do what is true come to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that their deeds have been done in God.”

Memorial Community Pastoral News
Pastor Elizabeth is on a leave of absence to be with her father, Larry Damico, during his last days. He was diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer last summer.
Pastor Sam Wolff has graciously agreed to provide coverage during this time. Pastor Sam will conduct all worship services including the Wednesday Lenten services, provide pastoral services such as visitations, return calls and provide communion to home bound folks.
We ask that all calls for these services be run through the church office. Nancy Jandro will work with Pastor Sam to cover Memorial’s needs. This is an important process to follow as Sam will not be in the office on a daily basis.
Please send cards or messages for Pastor Elizabeth and her family to her home address – 310 Tyler St., Hastings, 55033. We are blessed to have a wonderful church community that cares for each other in times of need. Your council leaders and the church staff along with Pastor Sam will work to make sure Memorial is cared for during this season of Lent and Easter. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Jill Chezik (Council President) or Julie Kadrie (Council Vice-President).
Together, we will carry on; trusting in God to help and guide us all.
