God is Everywhere
Psalm 139: 7-10
Where can I go from your spirit?
Or where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there;
if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me fast.
Invite you kids to explore the house, the yard, even take in the rain that may soon be falling. Look for places where you can see God at work, or things that God has placed in the world. If you want, you can turn it into a game: allow kids a set amount of time to find as many things as they can and see who finds the most OR takes turns finding things until someone cannot find something–the last one who can think of something wins.
Dear God, you have blessed this world abundantly. Today We thank you for (you can each name something that you found God present in today). Help us to always see you in the world around us. Amen.
